Truly great organizations are defined by much more than great leaders—they rise above others by creating initiatives that make a profound difference in the lives of those they reach.
Sometimes it’s a program that redefines a field, jumpstarts a movement, or helps us to see the world in a new way. Other times, it’s more subtle; it’s about execution, turning a good idea into an ongoing effort that creates lasting improvement.
At Crecer Strategies, we help organizations design, implement and refine programs, strategies and initiatives that generate lasting results.
We begin by asking several questions:
- Who do you want to reach?
- What change do you want to create? What impact do you want to have?
- What resources do you need to create change—staffing, support, partners, collateral and other communication tools?
- How will you evaluate your work? What can you build into the development of your program, strategy or initiative that will make it successful?
We have years of experience envisioning and building successful efforts. We put that experience to work for you.
Case in Point
Timing matters...
One of the most important issues affecting the success of a program or inititiave is timing. When to launch? If you have done your research and are ready to move, you will be prepared when the time is right.
For years, Earth Force had been searching for meaningful ways to entice teaching colleges to incorporate the Earth Force action strategy approach into preparation programs for educators. Late in the last decade, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) enacted standards for preparation of environmental educators. This finally set the stage for Earth Force to act.
By combining Earth Force's need to reach per-service educators with a field-wide need to train educators to meet new standards for environmental education, we were able to fashion a program that is timely, has a secure funding base and positions Earth Force for the future by making it the first organization to move into a new space. Within six months of developing the initiative, we generated additional funding, developed partnerships with 10 universities nationwide and expanded Earth Force's reach in an economical fashion—a win for all involved.
